Our history
For the love of aesthetics
From an early age, Ingrid Bregenzer was fascinated by the world of colors and shapes. After training as a glass art designer, her path led her into the world of cosmetics – and ultimately to Permanent make up. The opportunity to enhance natural beauty in a lasting yet subtle way captivated her right from the start.
A need gives rise to an idea
High-quality PMU pigments were scarcely available in the early 1990s. That is why, as early as 1993, Ingrid began developing her own colour shades in collaboration with a laboratory – safe, harmonious and perfectly blendable with one another. In 1995, she opened her first PMU academy in Tyrol, followed by one in St. Gallen in 1997.
An idea becomes Swiss Color
Swiss Color was founded in St. Gallen in 2003. Together with her sister Helga Langreiter, the business expanded into Austria, and in 2005 the international headquarters was established in Angerberg. What began as a range of pigments grew into an internationally established brand for PMU pigments, equipment and professional training and further education.
